📊 What is a Snapshot?

A snapshot captures what's trending across tech sources at a specific moment. We collect ~309 signals every 30 minutes from:

• Hacker News – Top stories & discussions
• GitHub Trending – Hot repositories
• Product Hunt – New product launches
• Reddit – r/SaaS, r/startups, r/Entrepreneur
• RemoteOK – Job market signals

🎯 Reading the Stats

• Total Signals – How many items captured (typically 300+)
• Avg Score – Overall engagement level (40-50 is normal)
• Top Source – Where most signals came from
• Top Category – Dominant content type (jobs, stories, code)

💡 Score Explained

Each signal gets a score (0-100) based on engagement:

• 90-100 – Viral, high attention (top 10%)
• 70-89 – Strong engagement
• 50-69 – Moderate interest
• Below 50 – Lower engagement (jobs, new posts)

🔄 What is Compare?

Compare shows what CHANGED between two points in time. Select an older and newer snapshot to see:

• New Signals – Appeared in newer, not in older
• Rising – Same content, score increased >1 point
• Falling – Same content, score decreased >1 point
• Faded – Was in older, now gone from newer
