What is ASOF?
ASOF is an intelligence platform that provides historical trend analysis from Hacker News and other tech sources. We collect snapshots every 30 minutes, giving you the ability to "time travel" through tech trends, see what was viral at any moment, and predict what will trend next.
How much does it cost?
Free: Access to the last 7 days of data with basic features.
7-Day Free Trial: Try Pro features free for 7 days.
Pro ($19/month or $190/year): Full historical access (1,095+ snapshots), all analytics features, PDF reports, CSV exports, and predictions.
How often is the data updated?
We collect new snapshots every 30 minutes, 24/7. This means you get fresh trend data 48 times per day, capturing momentum as it happens.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes! Cancel anytime from your account dashboard. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period. We also offer a full refund within 7 days of your first payment if you're not satisfied.
What data sources do you track?
Currently we track: Hacker News, GitHub trending, Reddit tech communities, Product Hunt, and 35,000+ job postings. We aggregate signals across these sources to identify what's gaining momentum in the tech world.
Can I export the data?
Yes! Pro users can export data as CSV files (for any snapshot or comparison), PDF reports (professional branded reports), and HTML newsletters (email-ready format). Perfect for sharing insights with your team or clients.
How far back does the historical data go?
We currently have 1,095+ snapshots dating back to December 5, 2025. That's nearly a month of complete historical data, with more being added every 30 minutes. Free users get the last 7 days; Pro users get the full archive.
What makes ASOF different from Google Trends or similar tools?
Unlike broad tools like Google Trends, ASOF is specialized for tech and startup trends from highly curated sources. We don't just show search volume—we show actual momentum from real communities (HN, GitHub, Reddit). Plus, our predictive analytics help you see what will trend before it peaks.

Is my data secure?
Yes. We use

Do you offer refunds?
We offer a
full refund within 7 days of your first payment, no questions asked. After that, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us at

Can I use ASOF for commercial purposes?
Yes! Pro subscribers can use ASOF data for commercial purposes, including client reports, market research, content strategy, and more. You cannot resell the raw data itself, but you can use insights derived from it.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards via Stripe, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. We also support Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Is there a team or enterprise plan?
We're working on team features! For now, each user needs their own Pro subscription. If you need team access or have enterprise requirements (custom data, API access, white-label), contact us at

How do I get support?
